About Me

Before becoming a counsellor, I was employed in several different jobs - in a library, in university admin and then as a needlewoman with my own craft business. You can see one of my pictures below.

Creativity is still an important element of my life, and I believe that honouring this part of ourselves often plays a key role in healing and personal growth. So I generally keep that in mind in all my counselling work. For those who earn their living in the Arts, emotional and psychological wellbeing is frequently crucial to a sustained career, and here counselling can make a significant difference.

My first encounter with counselling was in 1991, as a client. It was so helpful that I eventually decided to train as a counsellor myself.

    One client commented,

"I came to Susan during a very turbulent time and I was seeking a space to be able to express feelings, thoughts and emotions. Through her approach, Susan creates a safe space for this to happen and helped me work through specific issues so I could move forward."

I can answer any questions about my background and experience, either by phone on +44(0)7581 325846 or email, to susangully@googlemail.com

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.

Viktor Frankl, Man's search for meaning.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in
